The Medical Surgical Nursing department caters to the needs of 2nd & 3rd year B.Sc. (N), PCBSc. (N) and post graduate nursing students. The aim of the department is to prepare the nursing students to become full-fledged professionals in providing comprehensive care to the individuals and enable the students to function as educators, managers and researchers in the field of medical surgical nursing. Outreach programmes are conducted every academic year to meet the needs of local community. The faculty members are highly motivated to pursue their higher education and excel in their career. It also conducts research at departmental level to support evidence based practice and conducts monthly CNE to keep updated with knowledge and skill. Departmental faculty are also associated with Hemophilia and diabetic clinics of Dental Hospital, Poanta Sahib.
